Crawley Down Gatwick are pleased to announce that Dean Blackmore and Karl Scott will be re-joining the Club to run our reserve side in the coming season. The team will compete in the reserve section of the Southern Combination Football League (SCFL). Both Dean and Karl are former Crawley Down players and bring with them a depth of football knowledge and experience. Karl is also a former first team manager and has links to the Club stretching back to the formation of the current structure in the early 1990s.
The intention is for the reserves and first team squads to work together on an integrated basis and for the reserve side to provide a stepping stone to the first team particularly for younger players. We sincerely hope that many of last season’s under 21s and under 18s will form an important nucleus of the reserve team. We will be contacting all of last season’s under21s and under 18s shortly.
