It seems that the Premiership clubs are not the only ones with fans in Asia, as we have our own support base out there aswell!

The club were contacted a few months back from our kit suppliers, Winning Look, as they had received an order from Japan for some sweatshirts. Ian at winning look contacted the person concerned and it was a genuine order.

We were then contacted by Kate herself who explained how they come to follow the Anvils

Kate is currently living in Japan, but her hometown is Brighton. Kate and her partner (Japanese) are huge football fans and have started a company based on events and PR for football based projects in Kyoto, collaborating with there local professional team.

"When we go back to the UK for holidays we like to see as many games as we can fit in, and when we went back over Christmas we decided we wanted to see some games from different leagues in Sussex, being my home county etc. Plus, my partner is crazy about airports so he found your club and then after that became more and more interested, and we started following you. We actually turned up to see your fixture against Eastbourne, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the flooding. On our way to another game we also dropped in at your ground to see if we could meet anyone or buy some souvenirs. When we came back to Japan we told our other footy loving mates about you, who also took an interest, and then we decided to order a few sweatshirts for us all!

The photos are of all 5 of us wearing the shirts at our latest five-a-side tournament last weekend - our team name is Kyoto Pistol Hair FC. We also took a picture at Shiramine Shrine here in Kyoto which is dedicated to worshipping sports. Lots of famous players and teams, as well as local teams and school teams go there to pray for luck, victory, no injuries. So we said a prayer for you all!"

We hope to here some more from our supporters in Japan soon
