JUNIOR PRESENTATION EVENING Sat 9th May

As usual an excellent evening for the annual CDGFC Junior Presentation evening held in the Haven Centre hall with over 300 people attending.

The FA cup was on show and many people took the opportunity to have their picture taken on their own or in groups around the Cup.

The Presentations as usual were well applauded starting with the U5 reception year group and going through all the age groups to U16.

The Team of the Season award went to the U12 Team Managed by Tony Sanders who lost only 1 match throughout their league campaign.
The U9 Hammers won the league Plate trophy and the U11 Anvils & U16's came runners up in their respective leagues. The U16's also were finalists in the League Cup.

The Steve Blackwell award for Sportsmanship went jointly to two U9 players this year Alex Vincent & Joseph Emery

As well as the FA Cup being on show their was a Barbecue, chefs were the Under 8 Parents who did an incredible job serving over 200 burgers and Sausages. Jackie & Donal Barrett also served Chips, soft drinks and Teas & Coffee's whilst most of the young players organised their own football matches on the Football Pitch.

The Raffle organised by U12 manager Tony Sanders, had some excellent prizes and some 30 people went away lucky winners. Whilst U15 Manager Karl Dann was the bouncer on the door.

The presentations were all completed by 9pm and most retired to the Social Club bar to complete the evening.

Thanks to Martin Benetar who organised the FA Cup and also to the FA for allowing us to have it on show. Also to Flanagan's the local Butcher for providing all the Burgers and Sausages. Also the Social Club for providing the barbecue equipment and the use of their facilities.

But most of all thanks to all the Parents and the Boys & Girls who made it such an enjoyable evening.
