Despite the odd heavy shower the Junior Section of the Club enjoyed an exceptional presentation evening

Chairman Donal Barrett and Vice Chairman Mick Martin introduced the presentation evening to an audience of over 400 Parents and relatives on the night. 1st Team Capt Blair Cooney and Andy Goodwin presented the awards.

The Junior Section of the Club is continuing to grow year on year and this season a Girls Section of no less than 40 members has added to the Clubs Junior Membership. Nikki Morton and Mark Hills along with several helpers and Coaches have done an incredible job with the young ladies in their first development season.

The Age groups U5 to U11 do not have any match scores or League Tables published and so its not easy to define success in terms of table position. But all Managers reported very successful seasons with significant improvements since the start of the season.

The U12 to U16's Scores and table are reported and improvement can be seen in the league tables. Most successful in this group were the U12, U13's and U15 sides all who won leagues, were runners up and or won Cup competitions. The U14 and U16's both also did very well with some excellent performances and improvement especially in the latter half of the season.

The Steve Blackwell Memorial trophy for the most Sporting player in the U9 group was won by Charlie Cook

Donal Barrett introduced a new award for Junior Club Person of the year and this award was won by Howard Griggs for his dedication to running two sides on a Saturday & Sunday over many seasons and also his help with admin at Meetings, League Registrations and other Junior related needs.

The Season in general was very successful and the Club would like to thanks all Managers, Coaches and helpers involved with the teams.

On the night special thanks to Jackie Barrett who organised and sourced all the Food and drinks for the evening amongst a host of other needs. Thanks also to the Team of helpers from the U8's who were the barbecue chefs for the night, The Managers and Parents who helped with setting up and running the various events and the raffle.

Mustn't forget The Haven Cafe/Bar who were overwhelmed on the night but still managed a great service and also Nikki Morton who kindly did the photography. Those photographs will appear on the Web Site in due course.
