We are devastated at the loss one of our U16 Hammers coaches, Richard Golby, who suddenly and unexpectedly died last night. (Thursday 5th Dec).
We offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to all of Richard’s family and friends and will be sending a card on behalf of the whole club.
Richard was a dedicated and loyal member of team CDGFC for over eight years and was a much loved member of the coaching staff. He was a huge character and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
We know how difficult this time will be for the U16 team involved and will of course be supporting them in any way we can.
Also as a football family, we know this will also affect all of us too, so please reach out to myself or our welfare officer Lesley if you would like any support.
The whole club will be paying their respects over the next few weekends.
