Anvils 18's completed their season with a good win at Roffey securing a 4th place finish in the league. Some excellent football played

Anvils dominated for most of the game but could not find the back of the net despite many chances.
HT 0-0
2nd half continued with Anvils mostly on top. On 55mins they were rewarded with a penalty and which Will Harley dispatched on 55 mins. 1-0 CD
Wick got more into the game in the latter stages of the game and finally got on the score sheet after a goalmouth scramble opportunity fell to wick on 90+2 to draw level.

Very even 1st half with the Anvils scoring early on in the 3rd min from Will Harley. Shoreham however equalised with a wind assisted Freekick which eluded everyone on 38mins
HT 1-1.
2nd Half the Anvils dominated although Shoreham had their chances. Alex Tidy slotted in after 51 mins 2-1 Anvils and Njagga Jammahl John hit his first for the Anvils on 63mins 3-1.
Debutant 16 year old Harry Coles came on for the last 15mins and showed some great touches during that spell. Capping it all by slotting home 'on his debut' a cross in added on time to make it 4-1.

Anvils start well with a Rhys White goal putting them ahead on 7mins, but concede an equaliser on 15mins and Lingfield go ahead on 34mins 2-1. Just before HT the Anvils give away a Penalty to give Lingfield a 3-1 HT lead.
2nd Half Fairly even affair. Anvils miss a chance to pull one back with a Penalty miss on 65 mins.
Lingfield hold onto their 1st Half lead throughout the 2nd half and deservedly take all 3 points.

A good performance from the Anvils today who mostly controlled the game throughout.
It was Pagham though who scored first though on 39mins but Oli Leslie immediately equalised 2mins later HT 1-1.
Anvils started the 2nd half with gusto with Callum Kilkenny making it 2-1 on 48mins and Will Harley hitting the 3rd goal on 52mins. No further goals from either side. A good game to watch and the Mascots, U5 boys Training Group, enjoyed their day cheering on the Team.

Anvils 18's win 3-1 v Billingshurst Anvils goals: George Falzon 2, Matt Greenbrooke 1

The Anvils took the game to YM straight from the start and went 2 up on 18 & 22mins through Will Harley and Regan Davis.
HT: 2-0 CDG
2nd half YM worked a lot harder pulling one back on 66min. Anvils however restored their 2 goal advantage on 90mins, catching YM on the break Will Harley latched on to a clearance and with the YM Keeper stranded on the Half way line slotted the ball into an empty net. 3-1 Anvils.
YM however did manage to pull a goal back on 90+3 just before the final whistle. Fully deserved victory for the Anvils.

Very tight game v Peacehaven & Tel, PH were dominant early on and went ahead after just 8mins. Anvils settled and scoring chances came there way. Callum Kilkenny netted on 31 mins after latching on to Oli Leslie's cross and Oli himself made it 2-1 Anvils just before the HT whistle.
2nd half The Anvils were on top and duly made it 3-1 through Will Harley after 62 mins. Anvils continued to press and further chances came and went. PH then got back in on 80mins 3-2 and from then on in worked hard to get the equaliser and it eventually came on 90+3mins 3-3.
A draw overall was probably a fair result. Good luck to PH in their run in, they look in a good position for a top 5 finish.

Anvils worked hard to breakdown a strong Steyning side throughout. 2nd placed Steyning went 1 up on 25mins and held that until HT. Early 2nd period saw Steyning on top and scored to quick goals imcreasing their lead to 3-0. From then on in CDG forced the play scoring twice through Oli Leslie 60mins and Josh Rapson 89 further pressure until the final whistle could not produce the elusive equaliser.
Good luck to Steyning for the rest of the season.

Anvils had the better of the 1st half in this local derby but despite chances Lingfield took the lead on 19 mins. Anvils continued to look the most likely to score and drew level on 28 mins through Oli Leslie HT: 1-1
2nd half was a fairly even contest. Anvils went 2-1 up Will Harley scoring on 68mins from a tight angle and led until 90+2 mins with a Lingfield goal just befre the final whistle.
